  • What is Liposuction?

Liposuction, also known as lipoplasty, is a surgical procedure that involves the removal of excess fat from specific areas of the body. The procedure is typically used to contour the abdomen, hips, thighs, buttocks and other areas where diet and exercise alone have not been successful. Liposuction is a popular cosmetic surgery procedure that can help people achieve a slimmer and more proportional body shape.

  • Does the fat grow back after Liposuction?

The fat cells that are removed with Liposuction are permanently removed. You don’t grow new fat cells unless you gain a tremendous amount of weight. This does not mean, however, that you cannot gain weight. The remaining fat cells that you have can grow much larger, so it is important for you to maintain your weight after surgery. It has been shown, however, that patients who gain weight after Liposuction generally do not put on fat as much in the areas that they used to prior to their procedure. The fat tends to go more to areas that were not treated, so it is usually more evenly distributed.

  • What is the average recovery period for Liposuction?

The recovery from Liposuction is easy compared to many plastic surgery procedures. Most patients have relatively little pain. Many say that they feel like they had done a huge workout after being very out of shape.

  • What is a Brazilian Butt Lift?

A Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) is a cosmetic surgery procedure that involves removing fat from one area of the body (such as the abdomen, hips, or thighs) and transplanting it to the buttocks area to enhance the size and shape of the buttocks. The procedure is also known as “butt augmentation” or “fat transfer to the buttocks.”

The BBL procedure typically involves liposuction to remove fat from a donor site. Then the fat is purified and re-injected into the buttocks area. The procedure aims to create more rounded and shapely buttocks, as well as improve the overall proportions of the body.

  • Am I suitable for a BBL?

There are several factors that are considered when determining whether someone is a good candidate for a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedure. The most important factors include the following:

Skin elasticity: Good skin elasticity is necessary for the skin to be able to stretch and contract as the volume of the buttocks changes.

Body mass index (BMI): A BMI of 30 or less is generally considered to be the upper limit for a safe BBL procedure.

Fat availability: The patient should have enough fat to harvest and transplant in the buttocks.

Medical history: The patient should be in good overall health and should not have any conditions that could increase the risk of complications from the procedure.

  • How long does it take to recover after a Brazilian Butt Lift?

Recovery time after a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedure can vary depending on the individual case and the patient’s overall health.

Typically, patients can expect to experience some pain, swelling, and bruising in the first few days after the procedure.

It’s important to follow the surgeon’s instructions and guidelines regarding post-operative care, such as wearing compression garments, taking medication, avoiding sitting or lying on the buttocks, and avoiding strenuous activities.

  • What is fat transfer?

Fat transfer, or fat grafting, involves using liposuction techniques to remove fat cells from one or more “donor” areas of the body before purifying the harvested fat and transferring, or injecting, it into an area of the body that requires enhancement.

Fat transfer offers dual benefits: sculpting the donor area and augmenting the treatment area.

  • What areas of the body can fat transfer treat?

Dr. Asad can treat any area of the body that is lacking volume, whether this is due to the natural aging process, hereditary factors, illness or other factors.

The following are examples of areas of the body that can be treated with fat transfer:

Transferring the harvested fat into the buttock area (in a procedure commonly referred to as “Brazilian Butt Lift”) provides a fuller, more balanced shape.

Injecting the harvested fat into the breasts gives patients a fuller breast shape. By injecting the harvested fat inside the apples of the cheeks, patients achieve a fuller and younger-looking facial appearance.

Fat injections can be used to fill in deep facial wrinkles and creases, pitted acne scars and scars from deep lacerations.
